1. CANCELLATION FEES – If you are unable to make your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. A minimum 24 hours notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee. A 50% cancellation fee will be required for cancellations/reschedules with less than 24 hours notice. Less than 6 hours notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
  2. DEPOSITS – In some cases, and for some services, we will require, at minimum, a 50% deposit. All Keratin services, hair extensions, and some large colour services will require this deposit. The deposit will be deducted from the total payable on the day of your appointment. A late cancellation or no show will forfeit this deposit. If you have a history of last minute cancellations, or no shows, a deposit will be required for your future appointments.
  3. APPOINTMENT REMINDERS – Reminder SMS messages will be sent at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. PLEASE respond to this message as soon as possible. If we have not received your reply by close of business the day prior to your appointment, your appointment will cancelled. We will make every reasonable effort to contact you before this happens.
  4. We respect the time of all our clients. It is essential that you arrive on time for your appointment, preventing other clients being delayed for their services. Your appointment may be canceled on the spot, or reduced should you be too late for the stylist to complete your booked services in the remaining appointment time. In this instance, a 100% fee for the missed appointment will apply.
  5. How you treat your hair after your appointment is of the utmost importance. Cutting Edge cannot guarantee lasting results if you use unsuitable hair products, or if you swim regularly. If for some reason you are unhappy with your hair service, please contact the salon within ONE week (SEVEN days) of your service date.
  6. A skin sensitivity test is recommended for all clients who have not had colour previously, or who have experienced a reaction or sensitivity to colour in the past. This test will need to be performed 48 hours prior to your colour appointment. The area will need to be assessed again after a 24 hour period. This is a complimentary service. We will not be held responsible for any skin reaction should you opt against this service.
  7. REFUNDS – Refunds will not be provided on any service. If you are unhappy with any service and have contacted us within 7 days, we will do our best to rectify the situation and accommodate you within reason.
  8. We aim to provide a relaxing experience for all our clients. Please be courteous, switch your phone on silent and respect other client’s time of relaxation.
  9. Children are welcome in our salon, however we encourage you to bring something to entertain them for the duration of your appointment. We want our clients to feel comfortable and relaxed, without any distractions. We also want everyone to be safe. Please ensure your children are acting in a safe manner within the salon. You are the parent, not us!
  10. If you have scheduled a colour appointment, please avoid wearing white or high collared tops. We take the utmost care when colouring and rinsing, however we prefer to mitigate as much risk of damage to clothing as possible.
